My experiences with MS so far.....
Hi my name is Lisa.
I'm 31 years old Im married to Antony and I have two lovely boys, Aden and Seth.
I was diagnosed with ms in the year 2000.
my second child is 6 months and my older son is 2 and a half years.
I do find it hard copying with two children and ms but to be honest it keeps me going.
Im on Copaxone which i find does help.I was on Rebif but my body didnt like that drug very much and the doctors decided to take me off it .
Ive had relapses that are mild and I have had bad ones but you can only cope through it hoping that one day they will find something to help us.
when I was first diagnosed the doctors said not to have children to me. But to be honest when i was pregnant i was so well, so if im pregnant forever I will be fine! To be honest I dont fancy that! so I found it has delayed my ms by being pregnant, but it is up to the person weather they can cope with kids and MS.
But I have found that the kids have helped me through some bad times and I wouldnt be without them.
In fact we still want another but that will not be happening till Aden is in school.I couldnt cope with 3 under 5 years and MS!
As for the MS I think my bladder ,legs ,hands and I have pain in my face are the main things that affect me .
I have been through some ups and downs lately and stress dont help at all.
The MS young persons group has been great for me as it has got me meeting lots of great friends.and we all need freinds.
I will be moving I hope soon to a mobility home, as the home we are in is to small. I cant wait. This house is getting me down.which dont help.
so if you are a MS suffer or you know someone who has MS go along to the group.you will make some good freind who know what you are going through.
lisa X
